Ashslice Table 26
One of my wood-pushers found this nodule in Dyrehaven, close by “Kirsten Piil’s spring”. He had eyes on this for 26 years, he followed how the deposits of leaves and rain enterd the opening in the top of the nodule and figured that it would coloured op the otherwise colourless wood from its core. Opening this piece of wood was close to a revelation.
Slice of ash nodule, butterfly joint of smoked oak.
